Brian Welch
Vice President & Chief Investment Officer
Brian Welch came to Verus in 2007, where he began honing his skills through trading and operations. “But I really liked the planning side and meeting with clients and helping them build a path for their future,” he says. Verus quickly discovered that Brian was a loyal and caring team member who was willing to do anything to help the clients thrive. Now Brian is a primary adviser and equity officer of the firm where he built his career.
Brian works tirelessly to solve clients’ financial planning issues. Today, we count on Brian to support Verus’ growth by providing strategic direction for clients and managing client relationships and firm leadership.
Brian graduated from Virginia Military Institute with a bachelor’s degree in economics and business. Outside of serving his clients, Brian enjoys spending time with his wife, Stacie, and their three active children. He was a VMI track athlete and loves following college football, aviation, and geopolitics.

- CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER®
- Member, Financial Planning Association of Central Virginia
- Verus Investment Policy and Leadership Committees
- Life and Health Insurance Consultant license in Virginia
- Notary Public in the Commonwealth of Virginia
