So it stands to reason why Verus would draft Tyler as an associate financial planner, despite no formal financial planning education (even if he spent years teaching college-level economics and global trade to high schoolers). “Verus saw my background as an opportunity to use the skillsets I have, and those I have acquired, to add to the excellence they’re already delivering,” he says.

Here, Tyler works with clients and financial planners on retirement and estate plans, investment guidance, tax strategies, and overall support of their financial health. He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER^® professional, Series 65 licensed, and was promoted to a financial planner after exhibiting a commitment to growth and a superior work product.

During his time at James Madison University, Tyler was captain of the Duke’s football team and named to the Academic All-Conference all four years in Harrisonburg. He says success in college athletics takes principles such as discipline, time management, communication, and integrity. “And it’s not always easy, and demands perseverance,” Tyler says. “These are good lessons for you to consider when you look at your financial future, and they are principles I use to help clients reach their goals.”

The Snow family, Tyler, his wife Anne, and their three children, worship and are active at City Church in Richmond.
