Jake Fram

A Richmond native, Jake earned his undergraduate degree from Elon University, NC. Then, attained his master’s degree in accounting from Villanova University, PA. When his wife, Brittany, decided to go to graduate school at Virginia Commonwealth University, he returned to Richmond after serving as a tax manager at a local accounting firm.

Eventually, he found Verus where his combined designations as a certified public accountant (CPA) and CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® synthesized with the firm’s philosophies. “I’ve always envisioned myself as a financial planner,” says Jake.

During his time at PricewaterhouseCoopers and Richmond-based Keiter CPA, Jake worked with high-net-worth clients and their families. Marrying his finance and tax knowledge, he developed a niche helping families build investment strategies while also maximizing their tax efficiencies.

At Verus, he offers clients what he calls “a focused picture” of their current and future finances. He considers the tax implications of every move. It’s a year-round effort, intensifying during tax season. He notes that long-term investments can’t consistently outperform the market, so clients’ best financial guidance should include sound investment inputs and a solid tax strategy.

Jake and Brittany have a young daughter and a baby on the way! When they do have free time, they love spending time outdoors: at the beach, on a hike with their yellow lab, or in the garden. They also share a passion for all types of cuisine, which they convey to their daughter.
